The very first House to the contemporary resort home series. Situated in the low density suburb area off the Klang town, the 3-storey House stands discreetly with lake-fronting rear façade.
The approach and arrangement of this House is surrounding a lily pond with a tree standing within. All the rooms are orientated to have lake view, while allowing occupants to navigate through the house with visual enjoyment to the surrounding environment.
Naturally lit the spaces, the design tends to minimise the usage of air-conditioning system and allowing the appreciation of the surrounding nature.
In a low density ecological suburb area in Shah Alam, this Residence stands prominently on a hill within a triangular plot of slope land. The Residence consists of a Reception, four individual Villas and a Master Pavilion together with a sub-basement Garage. It is to accommodate a family of three generations, which intentionally operates as a small scale resort hotel and equipped with the resort facilities.
The standalone buildings of the Residence are arranged and openly linked around a central courtyard garden with a suspended swimming pool towards the rear taking advantage of the view of forest reserve.
A double storey linked corner Terrace unit in Bukit Jelutong residential neighbourhood was transformed to a luxury living space in the Contemporary Tropical Resort Living manner.
Contemporary and Minimalist approach to this private home to suit the modern lifestyle of the users. The facades are stripped off to the minimal with few oversized windows to maintain the privacy while a central lily pond courtyard which splits the residence into two, floods the internal space with natural daylight.
Tropical elements like timber, brick and concrete finishes are introduced to give a feeling of warmth to the living space.
As extensions to existing residences, the new structures do not stand individually but integrate, enhance and compliment to the environments and in coherence to the existing structure. These new volumns created for recreational purpose like Gymnasium, Bath, Spa and Social Event.
An upgrading design exercise to the existing heavily used Toilets in a decade old shopping mall. A technically challenge exercise to work around site constraints of the existing building.
A new round arrival hall and a waiting lounge are created before the Toilets as a focal point to shoppers from distance to metaphorically shorten the distance and the same curve lines were carried into the toilets to the cubicles wall to break the linearity of the typical toilet layout.
The design tries to bring back the classiness of the British colonial style elements and with the touch of few local heritage elements, this cafe will surely take you down the memory lane in a stylish and understated elegant way that you simply cannot resist but to indulge yourself in this romantic environment.
