LowerG 。市下

project

A refurbishment and upgrading of a 500 meter rectilinear established mall in Kuala Lumpur.

The project aims to upgrade the busiest level shopping mall space and intends to bring shoppers a complete new shopping experience. With the brief to break the monotony of straight, endless views along the mall, transforming the shoppers’ experience into one that is exploratory, stimulating and fluid.

design statement

Treating the entire lower ground level rectilinear mall space as a busy urban street, applying different tones, texture, shapes, lighting and materials to sculpt the space with major nodes, sub-nodes and winding paths. A graphically bold splash of gradient colours zigzags its way across the floor and ceiling, joining the nodes and visually uniting the entire space.
